Being a successful person is all about the attitude.

A successful OFW will always tell you that a positive mental attitude is essential to achieving any long term success.

An OFWs needs to think of empowering thoughts because all our experiences in life are shaped by our thoughts.

An OFW needs to keep their minds "closed to any negative and discouraging influences."

"Negative people are detrimental to success because they desire to bring down anyone who will join them. Keep them out of sight, out of mind or else you will be infected with their poisonous attitude,"
Here are more tips in order for you to become a successful Overseas Filipino Worker:

1. Save your money

Yes, if you save money you can buy a car, a home, or buy lots of things but what will you do if your car needs some major repairs? Do you have extra cash on hand? What if your house needs some repairs? You can’t count on anyone to lend you some money for all of these things. It is much better to anticipate a worst case scenario and have some money saved.

2. Avoid unnecessary expenses

Whether you’re managing on a smaller income or simply looking to better manage your budget, cutting expenses can be difficult when all of your monthly bills seem like they’re necessary. However, even if you’re smart with your spending, it’s likely that you still have costs you can cut.
You can start by tracking your spending for a month and then determine whether each item is a fixed, variable, or discretionary expense.

3. Educate your family members on spending remittance
There are several important questions arising from the continuing surge of overseas Filipino worker (OFW) remittances. Do families receiving remittances spend more on consumption goods? Do they make investments at all?

We all know that as an OFW that money is never easy to earn. We should educate our loved ones who receive remittance that they need to be wise in spending money and they should invest the money they receive more on their needs rather than their wants.

4. Invest in retirement savings plan, educational plan, or life insurance

However, it is a brilliant financial move when you start investing for retirement as soon as you finish school, begin earning income and how much more when you’re already working abroad. The reason is a magical little thing called compounding. It's what happens when your interest keeps earning interest, year after year.

With regards to good education, they say, it is the most precious legacy that we can leave with our children. However, quality education doesn't come cheap, and is bound to get more expensive in the future. As your income rises, you can also increase the amount to be regularly invested in the education plan.
Lastly, Should You Use Life Insurance as an Investment? You may have plans for your loved ones or for yourself. It makes perfect sense to prepare well in advance with saving plan combined with life insurance cover.

5. Start Investing
